John Ray Dashnaw, 70, of Silsbee, died Wednesday, September 9, 2015. Born in Ogdensburg, New York, he was a United States Marine veteran and was retired from the sawmill industry. A graveside service was held Tuesday, September 15 at Pine Hill Cemetery in Ogdensburg, New York under the direction of Allen-Nichols Funeral Home in Ogdensburg. Arrangements were handled by Broussard’s Mortuary in Silsbee. Survivors include his wife, Gayle Dashnaw; son, Ray Dashnaw and wife Roxann of Nashville, Tennessee; brothers, Howard Dashnaw and wife Beverly, James Danshnaw and wife JoAnn, Gary Dashnaw and wife Ginger and Larry Dashnaw and wife Toung; and sisters, Betty Kentner, Arloween Eurto and husband Jack and Bertha Haight and husband Gary.
