
John Rex Mayberry, 68, of Kountze, Texas, passed away on March 14, 2018, in Silsbee, Texas. John Mayberry was born in Silsbee, Texas, to Rex Mayberry and Virginia Lee Copley on December 26, 1949. He attended Kountze High School and graduated in 1968, where he enjoyed playing football and playing in a band with his friends. He went on to earn a degree from University of Houston. John enjoyed fishing, playing his guitars, exploring the outdoors, and had a deep love for animals. He loved his family and friends dearly. He always enjoyed a good meal, telling old stories, and laughter. He is survived by his wife, Ginger Mayberry of Silsbee; daughter, Emily Littlejohn and husband Jason of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Connor, Brody, and Blake Littlejohn, Joshua Fredregill, Nicole Thompson, Brittany Melancon, Jody Wilson and Destiny Bowden; great grandchildren, Brady, Caydence, Sophia and Jayden; siblings, Linda Pulliam, Mike Warren and his wife Mabel, and Kay Moses; nieces, Hillary Carrigan, Adrienne Phipps, and their spouses; nephews, Shane Moses, Jared Warren, Tyler Warren, and their spouses; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Lee Copley Warren, stepfather William Kelso Warren, and brother-in- law Robert “Bobby” Pulliam. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at 12:00 p.m., at Angel Gardens, 1120 East Williford, Kountze, TX.
