Betty Lee Graham Lewis, 84, of Silsbee, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 7 at First Missionary Baptist Church in Silsbee with burial following in Kirby Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. the day of service at the church. She graduated from Frazier Matthews High School in 1948. Afterwards, she attended and graduated from Franklin Beauty School. She went on to open her own beauty salon, and had numerous clients throughout the Silsbee community. She continued her education at Chenier Business College, and Lamar University in Beaumont. She later began a career as a paraprofessional with Silsbee Independent School District where she remained until retirement. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Johnny L. Lewis Sr.; son, Reverend Johnny L. Lewis Jr. and wife Letha of Pflugerville; daughter, Sharron Lewis Scott and husband Barney of Missouri City; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
