Marla Ellis Avery, 46, of Denton, went to be with Jesus at 3:46 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2017 in Denton. She fought a great battle with Ocular Melanoma for nine years. She will be missed by all. A memorial service will be Saturday, August 19 at 11 a..m. at Denton Bible Church in Denton. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. the day of service at the church. Survivors include her husband, Stephen Avery of Denton; daughter, Lucy Avery of Denton; mother, Lynda Brooks Ellis of Henderson; father, Roger Ellis and his wife Ella of San Antonio; brother, Randy Ellis of San Antonio; sister, Melanie Ellis Malone of Henderson; and a host of family and friends.
